COVID-19 and 2021 Season

Hello from Kimberley Expeditions,

Here at Kimberley Expeditions we can assure our wonderful guests (both past and future), along with our valued trade partners, that we have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation extremely closely including government advisory boards, tourism bodies, the World Health Organisation (WHO), local travel partners and our suppliers from around the world.

The health and safety of our passengers and crew is always our paramount concern.

2022 Cruise Season Update Following WA Border Announcement

Following the recent announcement by the WA Government that there will be a delay to the full border opening and new hard border settings, Kimberley Expeditions wants to confirm that it is fully committed to operating its Cruise Season in 2022.

The WA Government has promised a further update soon and with our first 2022 Kimberley Cruise departing Broome on 1st April we look forward to this update and are planning for the borders to be open by then.  Should this not be the case we may have to consider an alternative cruise itinerary.

We will carefully monitor the situation and follow all the government guidance before making any changes.

The safety, well-being and happiness of our guests and crew are always our highest priority.

In the meantime, we ask that all passengers review the following:

  • Ensure that your Comprehensive Travel Insurance is relevant to the changing circumstances
  • Government Vaccination Policy
  • Interstate Travel Conditions of Entry

In line with the current West Australian Government guidelines all guests must be double or triple vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter WA and to travel with Kimberley Expeditions.  We will require all passengers to send us a copy of their COVID-19 Digital Certificate of Immunisation History Statement at least seven days prior to departure.  Guests that do not provide this information will not be allowed to travel with us.  For more information about proof of immunisation please visit

While we will do our best to keep you informed and assist you, it is ultimately your responsibility to be aware of how this may impact your journey.

Guests are responsible for meeting the current WA and NT State Government interstate conditions of entry and quarantine.  These conditions can change at any time and we strongly recommend that guests check regularly and 15 days prior to departure date.

It is crucial that all of our guests have full and valid travel insurance.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely as it is constantly evolving, and we would like to reiterate that every decision we make is in the best interests of all travellers.

In light of the current situation, we are temporarily changing our final payment terms from 60 to 45 days until further notice.  We hope that this will help our guests during this period of uncertainty.  If you have any questions regarding this please do contact us.

Thank you once again and we look forward to welcoming you all aboard Reef Prince to explore the magnificent Kimberley coast with us.
